There is a great demand for the computers that we bring into Zambia, and as such we consider it our responsibility to have a strictly maintained application process in place.
All the information you need should be here, but do contact us if you have additional questions.
Criteria for receiving a donation of computers
In order to receive computers your school must: · - Be a state or mission secondary school or teacher training college · - Have a dust-free, well ventilated and secure computer laboratory with adequate power · - Have support from the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) so that funds can be raised to maintain the computers
Computers will not be made available to the following groups: · - Private schools or any school which is charging the students for tuition on the computers during school hours · - Government or public sector bodies · - Non-governmental organisations, churches and charities that are not schools · - Individuals · - Commercial operations or businesses please ask us for the current prices.
How to apply for computers
If your school meets the above criteria, please contact us for an application form.
We make inspection visits to a proportion of schools prior to receiving a donation, and we will also undertake a monitoring and evaluation visits after you have installed them.
How many computers you will receive
Schools successfully applying for the first time will receive 10 computers. If you are making good use of them, you will be eligible to apply for a 'top up' of additional computers.
What happens if computers break down
We do not offer a guarantee on our computers, but will help to repair them if we can. Computers that no longer work should be returned to us so that we can dispose of them in an environmentally responsible fashion.
